Senior Associate
Maria Mirijanyan primarily specialises in employment law and corporate governance. She assists both Norwegian and international clients, including matters related to dismissals, workforce reductions, working hours, the drafting of employment contracts and termination agreements, as well as issues concerning discrimination. Maria also possesses expertise in social security law.
Previously, Maria worked as a caseworker at Jussbuss, where she was part of the Social, Employment, and Social Security law Group. In connection with her work at Jussbuss, she also engaged in legal policy advocacy.
Maria wrote a master’s thesis entitled “Minimum Requirements for the Content of Agreements on Averaging Working Hours”. The thesis examined whether, and if so, what minimum requirements are imposed on the content of agreements on averaging working hours pursuant to Section 10-5, first paragraph, of the Norwegian Working Environment Act, and whether these requirements align with the new Transparency Directive.
Maria is also a permanent member of the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Tribunal.
