Advokatfirmet Hjort was established in 1893, and is a full-service law firm composed of 130 employees, of which 95 are attorneys. The law firm is owned by a partnerships, in which all of its members are employed at our law firm.
Hjort provides assistance for private businesses, public companies and private individuals. The common thread is the long tradition of a strong and recognized litigation and dispute resolution business for our law practice is known for in this area.

As a corporate law firm, we also have significant practice areas for private law such as family, inheritance and probate law, as well as in criminal law, with publicly appointed defense counsel for all three courts. We have an extremely well known practice area for financial criminal cases, and we represent both businesses and individuals.
Hjort is located in central Oslo, but takes assignments from all over the country. Our clientele includes some of Norway’s largest companies. Hjort is the only Norwegian member of two international networks, and a significant proportion of our assignments come from international companies. Through the networks we can offer our clients access to local expertise in all legal disciplines.
