Norway has the highest share of electricity produced from renewable sources in Europe. In 2016, 98% of the electricity production in Norway was produced by hydropower plants and wind farms. This type of production has resulted in Norway being a part of an ever growing market for foreign investors, by both institutional and industrial players.
The Norwegian chapter on alternative energy and power is contributed by Ms Kristin Bjella and Mr Jørn Uggerud, partners in the renewable energy department at Advokatfirmaet Hjort DA in Oslo.
